EXPLORE TARIFA OLD TOWN
Tarifa's old town is lovely. Visit the castle with views over to Morocco, and explore the beautiful winding streets. Walking through the arch, la 'Puerta de Jerez', you'll find a great selection of boutique shops and cafés down the hill.
* Bar Lola is our favourite tapas restaurant in Tarifa.
* Temaki is a fantastic new sushi restaurant.

VISIT VEJER
Perched on a hilltop, this classic whitewashed town is an Andalusian gem. The maze of cobbled streets with a light scattering of fabulous little boutiques and cafés puts it at the top of the 'must see' list. The main square 'Plaza de España' has a spectacular fountain.
*Parking is tricky in Vejer, so grab the first spot you see and walk up into the old town.
* El Jardín del Califa is our favourite place
to eat in Vejer, reserve in advance.

WHALE WATCHING
As we are personally involved in whale research (Rodrigo is an oceanographer), we can recommend Marina Blue as the best of the local whale watching companies. With just 10 guests on-board, Marina Blue offers a much more personal experience than the bigger boats. You are almost guaranteed to see pilot whales and dolphins and during the summer months there is a good chance that you will see killer whales.
