Surrounded by the Natural Park, there's so much to explore: trees to climb, a treehouse, lots of animals and even a pony.
The swimming pool is fully fenced for toddlers and we have cots, highchairs, playpen and plenty of toys!
For older children there's an astro-turf tennis court and an all-weather ping pong table under a huge eucalyptus tree.

TRIP TO THE RESCUE ZOO
​
Not so much a zoo as an animal refuge that got really big, really fast due to the high number of contraband animals captured at Algeciras port! This zoo is a hands-on place. You can cuddle tiger cubs, hold birds of prey, say hello to the monkeys and listen to staff who have immense knowledge and respect for their charges. This is not a typical zoo. An amazing experience for all ages.

There is a great little surf center in Bolonia run by a charming Frenchman (Fabrice).
You will find him and his team in the surf cabin behind 'Serenade' beach bar from 10 in the morning until the wind dies down or it gets dark.

WHALE WATCHING

As we are personally involved in whale research (Rodrigo is an oceanographer), we can recommend Marina Blue as the best of the local whale watching companies. With just 10 guests on-board, Marina Blue offers a much more personal experience than the bigger boats. You are almost guaranteed to see pilot whales and dolphins and during the summer months there is a good chance that you will see killer whales.

The Spanish Riding School in Jerez is very impressive. The horses perform in an auditorium for 5,000; it is a spectacular display of horsemanship reminiscent of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, and well worth a visit. Buy your tickets in advance.
There are shows every Thursday at 12.00 midday, so leave El Aguilon by 9.30am to allow plenty of time to park etc. The horse carriages parked outside are a great way to see the beautiful centre of Jerez and stop for tapas. Either take a taxi back to your car or ask the horse carriage to return to collect you.

A DAY AT THE FARM​
A great day out for anyone with young children
​
During the summer months the farm opens its doors to 4-11 years, and teaches Spanish and English in a laid-back environment whilst playing with the animals. There are ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks, geese, guinea pigs, rabbits and much more. It is a breathtakingly beautiful organic cork and cattle farm, run by Ben Agnew (fluent in English and Spanish),
